New Acropolis is an international non-profit organization founded in 1957 and present in over 50 countries worldwide.
Our international programs in the areas of Philosophy, Culture and Volunteering are designed to be complementary to one another, combining theory with practice in an integral educational process that benefits all those who take part in it. Philosophy becomes practical through culture and volunteering, while volunteering becomes meaningful and sustainable through philosophical reflection and the production of culture.
Our activities around the world:
Philosophical Education through courses, workshops, seminars, lectures, debates, annual celebration of World Philosophy Day, libraries, publication of books, magazines and research journals.
Cultural education through exhibitions, creative workshops, literary and music competitions, theatre groups, cultural tours, sports and martial arts, traditional festivals, fairs and conferences.
Volunteer opportunities include building centers of philosophical training, restoration of historic monuments, environmental education, cleaning of rivers, beaches and city centres, forest fire prevention campaigns, reforestation, campaigns for tolerance and solidarity, humanitarian aid, and disaster relief.
